The sites for Midtown Madness 1 and 2 still work as well. I actually downloaded an XP compatibility patch from there when I reinstalled MM2 last year.

I have no idea. My windows machine isn't plugged in right now, and Mac naturally can't deal with .exes or directX

I am going to attempt the free trial. Took all of 2 seconds to download and extract. The auto installer doesn't appear to want to launch.

when i was younger and cramming my ibm aptiva's hard drive full of games, this was as far as i was concerned, reality. it even had an in car view - hell, i even remember the pterodactyl you could call on to rescue your truck when you took it too far off the track. this being around the time jurrasic park was released, that flying reptile scared me pantsless

Yes! Tried/tested on Win 7 x64! Have to run in compatibility mode for Win95 though...not so bad. Wouldn't run in full screen, but it's actually kind of fun....
